How to simplify the search for adoptable pets and create stronger emotional attachment?

Seconde Chance connects shelters and potential adopters.

Yet, the current experience makes searching difficult and doesn’t showcase animals well.

The CHALLENGE : Simplify the search journey and highlight animals to encourage adoption.

3 Frictions in the Adoption Journey

Dense interface & weak visual hierarchy

Pages contain lots of information, but their organization lacks clarity, making actions and sections hard to identify.

Searching for animals is not intuitive

The filter area is dense, visually inconsistent, and lacks logical grouping, which complicates the search.

Animal profiles lack engagement

Information exists, but layout doesn’t sufficiently highlight the animal or adoption action.

4 Key Decisions

1. Clarify entry into the experience
